Become an Agent of Change

Psalm 145:8-9 The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. 9 The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.

Now is the time! Our world, our community, and all of us need the gifts God has given you. Your mission is wherever the master has placed you, in whatever circumstances or situation. As a Christian, you operate in the power of the Holy Spirit. Alone our human efforts are never enough no matter how smart or educated we are. All work is sacred, and God expects us to use the abilities and talents he gave us to help people and to change the world.

Stop being a spectator and get involved in your church and your community. If you see a need or have an idea to solve a problem be vocal and speak up and do not give up. Be a problem solver!

We fail to see that the adversities, illnesses, and hardships we go through are God preparing us for another season yet to come.

Do not be naive or foolish. The Holy Word states clearly, that we are in spiritual warfare and that demonic forces attempt to influence us or create hardships regularly. The rules of engagement are such that the more God gives or allows us to do the more difficult life can become. Being a Christian is not a free ride nor does it insulate you in any way from the world and its evils. Pray daily for protection.

Find other like-minded people in your church or community and work together for a common goal.

Be the best husband/wife, father, brother, son/daughter, and friend you can be by investing time and energy to encourage and help.

Wherever you find yourself in government, the arts, business, the media, education local community, or church offer yourself as a sacrifice and become a servant. Do your work for God quietly and do it well for we are in no need of human recognition.

Jesus solved people’s problems with love and mercy, he sought to change people’s hearts; he did not judge. We are called to do the same.

You and I are witnesses for Christ Jesus. We are not members of a political party that spends all their time stating what is wrong and what they do not like.

It is the fruit of our obedience that will influence and change culture, not dominion.

Change is difficult and sometimes very scary. We naturally recoil from it, but the seasons of our lives come and go, and change is part and parcel of that change.

The one thing that never changes, the one thing that stays the same is our unchanging God. Things in our world will continue to change and we can become a part of that through Christ.

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38–39)

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
