"Love, Mummy" - Exploring Our Shared Humanity

“Families are so complicated, aren’t they?” - Jenny Jackson Family is where we learn to push boundaries, push buttons, argue and defend. We see each other in our most vulnerable, angry and heartbroken moments. We grow up and figure out who we are in the midst of our family. But we often forget that they are also just people who are figuring it out for themselves. We each come to the table with our own baggage and expectations. And while we won’t always see eye to eye, we have a say in the way we treat each other and the way we react to one another’s individuality and idiosyncrasies. Family is also where we learn to accept, to apologise, to let go and move forward. And through it all we create a bond of shared history, and also a sense of unconditional support and forgiveness. All of our films are made possible through the generous support of our patrons.
