Our Daily Walk with Christ
Updated: May 15

Our daily walk with Christ, often called the Christian way of life is relational. Christ is a person and He is our Savior and he is connected to us just as your spouse, family and friends are connected to you. We are a very distracted people and our minds are all over the map. Most of us do not acknowledge or honor our Lord first thing in the morning, it is hard, especially with children and other obligations. But just as I make the intentional effort when I wake up to honor my wife by expressing love and caring for her I can also do the same for my Savior. It is intentional!
All of us lead very different lives and Christ knows this. Even if we acknowledge him first thing in the morning and then have more in depth and significant prayer later we have included him in our lives, we have not ignored him.
Do you ignore Christ? Many people do, he is an afterthought for many Christians.
God knows your thoughts, your sins, what will and wont do today. There are no secret sins even though you have convinced yourself no one knows.
If you have not got to the point of realizing you must slow down in life and prioritize God above all else then now is the time to be reflective.
As with any person we are close to we can include Christ in our daily conversations. We should and can pray to him, short brief prayers. We can lament to him, cry out to him, express ourselves in many ways.
We begin our conversation with our Holy and perfect Savior by confessing our known sins (1 John 1:9), worshipping him and honoring him yes making petitions to him for needs and concerns. He listens. But do you even talk to him?
We read his Holy Word daily as it is his speaking to each of us.
So the choices are ours to get off social media, get off the TV and stop playing video games and focus our attention on Christ.
Will you?
Hebrews 13:15 Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.
