Singing After a Funeral

Video from Daniel Stoltzfus

Listen to this beautiful song!

Singing after an Amish funeral in Lancaster County, PA. Descendants are singing, mostly non-AMISH. The filming was started BEFORE Amish came into the room. Some may not have liked it.

The children of the deceased were filming.

What a Day That Will Be Lyrics

There is coming a day, When no heart aches shall come, No more clouds in the sky, No more tears to dim the eye, All is peace forever more, On that happy golden shore, What a day, glorious day that will be. What a day that will be, When my Jesus I shall see, And I look upon His face, The One who saved me by His grace; When He takes me by the hand, And leads me through the Promised Land, What a day, glorious day that will be. There’ll be no sorrow there, No more burdens to bear, No more sickness, no pain, No more parting over there; And forever I will be, With the One who died for me, What a day, glorious day that will be. What a day that will be, When my Jesus I shall see, And I look upon His face, The One who saved me by His grace; When He takes me by the hand, And leads me through the Promised Land, What a day, glorious day that will be.

This was a clarification from the family about the video:

"Your comments are all interesting, Can we all enjoy the liberty in Christ. Now let me clarify, This was the funeral of my Amish mother who was longing to leave this earth for several years. Her dying request was to have the family sing a few songs at the end of the funeral. The people in the video are mostly her children, great grand and grand children. We are believers in Christ and would preferred not to be labeled as Mennonites ect. We are believers. It is correct that the traditional Amish would not sing at a funeral so we as a family waited until most all of the attendees departed to sing and fulfill mothers request."
