Your Daily Death Reminder

Your Daily Death Reminder
Your Daily Death Reminder

Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. " Psalm 139:16

“Lord, make me aware of my end and the number of my days so that I will know how short-lived I am. In fact, you have made my days just inches long, and my life span is as nothing to you. Yes, every human being stands as only a vapour. Selah” Psalm 39:4-5

Your Daily Death Reminder

Today will be a brief and fast passing of the present moment in Time.

From the moment you and I were born into this world a timer began counting down until our death in the near or not so distant future, our death is seen and known by God.

Psalm 90 begins with:

1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place

throughout all generations.

2 Before the mountains were born

or you brought forth the whole world,

from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

God is eternal, we are not.

You and I are created and contingent.

God is sovereign over our life and death.

In his hand is the life of every creature

and the breath of all mankind. Job 12:10

Today is the day you need to confess your sins to Christ and change your behavior and thinking.

Be Humble..

Be Forgiving to those around you. If you need to reconcile with someone make this the day you do that before eith you or they die.

Be Present in all that you do and with the people you are with. God put you were you are to make a difference not to be unhappy and complain and create problems.

Abide in Christ and make Him the center of your daily life.

When your days on earth end as death returns us to dust that event will not be the end for those who belong to Jesus. In Christ, death is not the end of our lives but a doorway into fullness of life.

"13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.”14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." James 4:13-14
