Compassion, Empathy & Understanding: Judge Spends Night in Jail with Man He Sentenced

"A North Carolina judge felt he had to hold a man accountable for lying about a urine test, although there were special circumstances for this probation offender. Steve Hartman went "On the Road" to find out what happened next." from video introduction.

Compassion, empathy, understanding, do you have it for your fellow man?

How much would you sacrifice for a stranger?

Sin tempts us to deny how fundamentally we are interrelated.

Our sinful age asks the question “Am I my brother’s keeper?” Jesus gives us the gospel grace and message to say, “I am my brother’s keeper.”

Many people deny God’s image in our own flesh in all our suffering neighbors. May we hear our Lord's words, the old commandment to love one another, making it new and fresh today and every day!
