Starling Arrow is a collaboration of artists Leah and Chloe of Rising Appalachia, Tina Malia, Ayla Nereo + Marya Stark. The ensemble was unintentionally conceived during in the years of lockdown when they began to meet weekly over zoom to alchemize the chaos of a changing world into their craft of songwriting. In the wake of their canceled tours, they met weekly, choosing a topic and style of song to inspire their writing. The following week, they would share what they had created in the round, each taking a turn to sing their tune. This collective wrote countless songs over nearly two years of weekly communing and creating. Their combined catalogue of songs range in topic and style, documenting the story of their shared human experience, colored by the backdrop of a unique history in the making. The female fronted super-group shares a common devotion for the love of songwriting, captured elegantly in their debut album Cradle with 5 part harmonies and melodies to soothe the body and mind.
