"Remove the False Way from Me." Admitting We are All Liars & Repentance
Proverbs 6:16-19 says, “There are six things which the Lord hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers.”
Scripture informs us that “you shall not bear false witness” (Ex. 20:16) and “lying lips are an abomination to the Lord” (Prov. 12:22); that “a righteous man hates falsehood” (Prov. 13:5) and “a lying tongue hates those it crushes” (Prov. 26:28); that liars’ mouths are “an open grave, with their tongues they keep deceiving” (Rom. 3:13) and “a worthless person, a wicked man, is the one who walks with a perverse mouth” (Prov. 6:12).
The obvious fact that our entire political establishment, Democrats and Republicans seems corrupt shouldn’t surprise us because it starts at the top with presidents and leaders who lie: “If a ruler pays attention to falsehood, all his ministers become wicked” (Prov. 29:12).
This makes it very easy for the average citizen to justify lying as well.
We live in a culture that not only ignores lies but often promotes lying. As Christians we must acknowledge that we are the worst of sinners and WE LIE! As part of our relationship with our Lord we confess our sins to him daily which includes all our lies. We then repent and change our behavior.
“Remove the false way from me” Ps. 119:29, so that we become people who “hate and despise falsehood, but love Your law” -Ps. 119:163.
We find the truth threatening so we lie and make up a false reality. Want to know how evil and vile lying can be? h, Read scripture and see how the liars of Jesus’ day murdered Him because they found the Truth (John 14:6) threatening!

"Republican elected officials are still covering for Trump by repeating the lie that the election was stolen from him. In this latest episode of The Point, CNN’s Chris Cillizza explains why these Republicans -- who know that the election was not in fact stolen -- are continuing to go along with this, and what it says about the current affairs of the GOP. " from video introduction.
"God knows it is hard to take Donald Trump seriously, but I think it is a mistake to ignore him or, more importantly, to ignore the people that support him. Trump has given voice to an unease that is widespread at this time in our culture. Theories about who the people want as well as why they support Trump abound. I suspect there is something to most of these theories. I am sure, for example, that racism plays a role for some who support Trump. It is hard to believe we have people running for the presidency of the United States promising to be the “law-and-order” president. If you ever wanted an exemplification of the oft-made observation that Americans forget their history, Trump’s claim to restore law and order ignores the racist presumption that gave birth to that phrase. I am also sure that the fear occasioned by September 11 is another factor that attracts some to his pledge to “Make America Great Again.” from article: The Good Life If liberalism failed to deliver it, what can?
