Thankful, Grateful, Blessed, and Glad My Mosting is Over. - Sandy Osborn
"I am always a thankful person, telling God I appreciate all his blessings. I was very thankful we were able to host an early Thanksgiving meal for my in-laws and single brother. I am also very Thankful that it is over.
I enjoy visiting and good food to a degree. I don't like the pressure and stress of preparing and organizing. Making sure the food is all warm at the same time when served. That is always a challenge.
I am a private person. My home is my sanctuary. Having guests and visitors is not something I do. At my age of fifty-three, my years of being a social butterfly are over. I only host this one event a year and only since my husband and I married a year ago.
Some people thrive on throwing a party, preparing a meal, and inviting people over. Then there are those of us who would be more comfortable not doing any of that.
I got through it, with flying colors, according to my husband. Only because of his help and encouragement.
Just know that no matter how hard the meal and entertaining are to get through. It's so hard for us to pull off this feat. The people you opened your home to appreciate it, enjoy it, and those you know well understand that it doesn't come easy to you. Which makes it very special indeed.
Hang in there my nonsocial friends. You can do it! Remember to take some deep breaths, you will make it through!
Happy Thanksgiving! God bless you all!"
