Psalm 104 is the most viewed traditional Jewish chant (played live) on YouTube. It is from the Book of Psalms of the Bible and is understood to be a hymn of creation, in all the fulness wherein God has created it - it speaks of animals, plants, waters, skies, etc. This rare Psalm was first recorded in 2011 for Yamma's first album. The live video was recorded a year after in 2012. (Yonnie's father immigrated to Jerusalem from Iraq during the 50s). Yonnie wrote a full arrangement for the five-member ensemble. The group has recorded the psalm and set it free from the old book to the global online net. The hymn became a YouTube hit, just before falling into oblivion. The beautiful performance received high attention and a warm embrace. millions of views and thousands of exciting comments from countless listeners and numerous music lovers from all religions and cultures. 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑷𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒎 104 The melody of this song is traditional by the community of Babylonian Jews. it was passed down from generation to generation through the history of prayers in the synagogues. The frequent changes in rhythm and other signs proves the composition is based on the oral praying text of prayers in synagogues. The core of this music was the text, reading the Psalm. In this link a Jewish Iraqi cantor who sings this prayer in the original way without music - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lr5ID... The arrangement of the ensemble tries to give the same historical and ancient feeling (using ancient instruments) and at the same time bring a touch of our contemporary times We love you all ❤️ Thanks for listening
