A Toronto Stained Glass Artist’s Journey Into Art While Balancing Motherhood
All Creatives Ep 3
Kristie Urbanski is a Toronto-based stained glass artist whose work explores the relationship between light, architecture, and atmosphere. What began as a personal creative pursuit during a period of transition gradually evolved into a full-time practice rooted in curiosity, experimentation, and craftsmanship. Drawn to the transformative nature of stained glass and its ability to completely shift the feeling of a space, she developed a contemporary approach to a medium often associated with tradition. As her practice expanded through large-scale commissions and continuous experimentation, Kristie balanced the demands of motherhood alongside building a growing business—creating work that brings colour, light, and architectural character into modern spaces while reflecting a deep commitment to creativity, resilience, and personal expression.
