Acknowledging Your Lord as Real?!

Acknowledging Your Lord as Real?!

Many people, many Christians think of Our Lord Jesus in abstract terms. In other words, since they cannot see him or speak verbally to him is just an idea, an abstract thought. Therefore, they take him less seriously as if he is a non-person.

So, when they pray to an abstract idea it has no real meaning, it becomes rote or routine if that.

Sadly, many Christians will go to Hell with that reality in their lives.

Christ is as real flesh and blood as you and I.

But do we understand that reality?

Christ was resurrected in the same flesh and blood body he suffered and died with.

Luke 24:39

39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.”

Our Lord invited Thomas to touch him and feel him. Even today our friends and family in heaven with Him now see his perfected flesh and blood body that someday all of us will have.

Because our Lord rose with a physical body so will we someday. Romans 8:32 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

1 John 1:1-2

1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life—2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us—

The historical record is clear that the Tomb was empty, and that after he was resurrected over five hundred people saw him.

1 Corinthians 15:4-6

4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.

Then after spending 40 days with the apostles Christ ascended.

Acts1:9 9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.

Jesus is still human and has a human body in heaven right now. His body is different in that our earthly human flesh is perishable, but His heavenly body are imperishable.

So, my point is this if we have not recognized and acknowledged and if we do not treat our Lord as an embodied person, we have NO relationship with him. We must speak to our Lord, confess our sins, repent of our behavior, and praise him in humility each and every day. To know our Lord is to be aware of him and speak to him in prayer throughout our day!

Revelation: 21:3-4

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
