36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
We are often to quick to forget in the busyness of life that ALL THINGS come from God. As Christians we must be acutely aware of this reality. The fact is we are all weak and inadequate, but beyond that it is by the grace of God that we are alive today to be able to have gratitude to our creator!
1 Corinthians 4:7
7 For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?
We must contribute to our lives by working hard and do the best we are able but it is God alone that gives us our minds, bodies and souls by which we live life. Gratitude provides perspective by humbling us, crushing our pride and entitlement.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
As we have lived yet one more year to see Thanksgiving 2021 we must be attentive to God’s providence in the world around us. Our world is abounding in God's presence if we would just take time to look, observe, and see. Recognize his merciful hand, in your circumstances, in or around you. Consider all you take for granted. Give God the credit he deserves!
