Psalm 119:143 Trouble and anguish have found me out,

Do You Always Study or Read Your Bible?
In our hustle culture many Christians consider reading the bible to be a daunting task.
So daunting that many Christians just do not read the Bible!
If you find yourself among those who do not read the bible I encourage you to pick it up again and without feeling the need to analyze or study just read.
All of us seek comfort and joy, but we pursue it in places where it can't be found.
Often we run from the Word, thinking it would beat us up rather than comfort and refresh us. The reality is you won’t find true, lasting joy anywhere else, not in family, vocation, enetrtainment or politics.
Look around and we see a society depressed and sad, aimless and Godless. People who gorge themselves on social media, entertainment and many other things in hopes of soothing their pain, or glossing over their sins.
American culture today attests to the failing of individualism and materialism.
Psalm 119
ALEPH
1 1 Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in the law of the LORD!
2 Blessed are those who keep his testimonies,
who seek him with their whole heart,
3 who also do no wrong,
but walk in his ways!
4 You have commanded your precepts
to be kept diligently.
5 Oh that my ways may be steadfast
in keeping your statutes!
6 Then I shall not be put to shame,
having my eyes fixed on all your commandments.
7 I will praise you with an upright heart,
when I learn your righteous rules.2
8 I will keep your statutes;
do not utterly forsake me!..
