Fear | Joni Eareckson Tada Shares Her Thoughts About Fear
"People often view Joni Eareckson Tada as exceptionally brave and strong. But she doesn’t always feel that way. Joni often experiences fear and lack of courage as she faces long days and nights of paralysis and pain. So how does she deal with fear? She claims the promises of God found in the Bible, making them her own.
Joni depends on God’s promise that he provides a way out of every temptation, including the temptation to cave into fear. She has learned, trial by trial, to anchor her heart to Christ who always provides a “way out” of fear and discouragement.
If you face fear today, lean on one of Joni’s favorite Scriptures to find peace and courage:
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
“Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and your servant loves them.” (Psalm 119:140)
“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32)" from the video introduction
