"My office is undergoing renovation—much like my life. And honestly, that's become a powerful lesson about how God works in our lives.
You see, a lot of us want transformation, but we don't want the mess that comes with it. We don't want the dust, the disruption, or the cost. We'd prefer instant renewal. But God often works differently. He asks us to go through seasons of interior renovation where everything gets torn down so He can restore, replenish, and renew us in unexpected ways.
Right now, I'm in a unique position. I've been asked to speak about revival at our Bible school next week, and here's my personal struggle: How do you preach revival when you're still climbing out of the pit yourself? Two-thirds of my audience are probably more revived than I am. I'm just getting back on my feet, starting to feel good physically for the first time in a while, beginning to read my Bible without the headaches and breathlessness I've been battling.
But that's exactly where the power lies. I've learned that you don't have to preach from the mountaintop to lead people to revival. The Apostle Paul didn't. He wrote about being "burdened beyond measure, above strength"—completely out of gas, unable to save himself. Yet his words from that place of desperation became some of the most powerful revival messages in scripture.
I'm so grateful that I've lived my life in the valleys as much as on the mountains. I've faced the shadow of death. I know what it feels like to be in a place where you can't get out on your own strength. And that's where I meet you. That's where God meets us.
If you're struggling right now, if your heart feels bruised and beaten down, if you can't see a way forward—know this: Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted, to give sight to the blind, to release the imprisoned, and to bring hope to the poor. And He does this work not from a distance, but by walking with us.
I walk with the people. And by God's grace, we will all come alive in Christ. My morning is being renewed, and I trust it will make your day. I'll see you soon." from the video introduction
