If God Called You to Create, Why Does It Feel So Hard?
"What does it really look like to walk by faith as a Christian artist—especially when your art, business, opportunities, or circumstances aren’t unfolding the way you hoped?
Every day, artists step into studios, dining rooms, back porches, and creative spaces believing that what God put in their hearts to create actually matters. But living that out requires more than inspiration. It requires learning to trust God with your creativity, your calling, and ultimately the outcome.
In this video, I’m sharing three lessons I’ve learned over more than 30 years as a working artist about the artist walk of faith:
• Why God designed you as an artist on purpose—and why taking your creativity seriously isn’t selfish
• How to trust what God has said and shown you more than what you see in the natural or feel emotionally
• Why one of the hardest parts of faith is learning to pursue the dream wholeheartedly while releasing the outcome back to God
If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re really called to create, whether your art fits into God’s divine purpose for your life, or how to keep moving forward when faith isn’t easy, I believe this will encourage you.
Your confidence ultimately isn’t in your sales, opportunities, recognition, creative progress—or even the dream itself.
Your confidence is in the Father.
And as you learn to create from your identity in Christ, renew your mind according to His truth, and faithfully steward what He’s placed in your hands, you can walk with greater peace, freedom, confidence, and expectation in your creative life.
If you’re a Christian artist who wants practical help learning how to thrive spiritually, creatively, and professionally, the Thriving Christian Artist Pathway was created for you. It gives you a clear, biblical framework for aligning with God, developing your creative life, connecting with the people you’re called to serve, and building a sustainable life and business around your creative calling." from the video introduction
