But now Jesus seemed to be so far away, all of those things seemed distant to Mary. When Jesus Seems Distant—Find the Risen One Mary needed to see Jesus. That is why she was last at the Cross, and first at the Tomb. Mary came needing Him, and was now first to see the Risen Christ.
