Kathren's Clouds | Joni Eareckson Tada's Art Series

"Joni Eareckson Tada shares a touching moment from a Joni and Friends Family Retreat. While visiting a painting class for special needs mothers, Joni was inspired to pick up a brush herself (with the help of her good friend Kathren) and create a beautiful scene of clouds in a blue sky over a flowered meadow.

Joni reflects on the joy of painting and how it reminds her of Ephesians 2:10: "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Despite the challenges of aging with quadriplegia and chronic pain, Joni finds immense joy in the creative process—and the experience becomes a reminder of God's gift of creativity to all of us.
