Our Daily Call to Be Like Christ

Updated: 6 days ago

Pour Out to Others

As you begin your day be aware your fruitfulness ultimately depends, not on your spiritual gifts nor even on your faith in Christ, but on Jesus Christ himself. The God who chose all of us to be his disciples and appointed us to our present/future kingdom labors also provides what we need to be fruitful in those labors each and everyday. This includes the labors of our prayers. What the means is when you ask the Father in His name, he will (may) give it to you.

Ephesians 2:10

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

If we consider Christ in his incarnation He seems to prefer giving us what we need through the cumulative effect of our daily, faithful seeking him in Scripture and prayer. This is why the Christian Way of life is a daily immersion in our Lord, not a part time whenever I think of it relationship. This relationship can change your life. You are able to walk away from those besetting chronic sins. You can do what must b done to flee the sin of pornography, or adultery or gossip or slander etc.

How divine sovereignty and human free will interconnect is a mystery. But we do know that we are just the branches and all our nourishment and understanding comes form the vine, our Lord & Savior Christ Jesus.

So pick up your bible, pray, confess and repent and immerse your self in the love of Christ!
