Run With Endurance | Joni Eareckson Tada's Art Series

"Joni Eareckson Tada discusses her watercolor piece Run with Endurance, created in 1983. This painting, measuring 23 1/2" x 17 1/2", began as one of many experiments leading up to a larger work titled The Run. While Joni initially planned to create a full watercolor of a horse in motion, this piece—intended as a study—captured something so beautiful that she couldn't leave it in her flat files. In the painting, the grace and power of the horse in full stride reflect Joni’s belief that God designed horses to run, and in doing so, they express their true nature. With careful brush strokes, Joni conveys the fluid motion of the horse’s legs, flowing mane, and muzzle, beautifully illustrating Hebrews 12:1-2: "Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us."

Through her artistic journey, Joni reveals the importance of experimenting with materials, technique, and concept. Run with Endurance serves as both an inspiring visual and a spiritual reminder to live with strength and perseverance." from the video introduction
