Samaritans for Children

"Basing on the number of school dropout due loss of their parents, family negligence, the insufficient funds to pay for school fees and scholastic materials, Samaritans For Children was started to help the most vulnerable and marginalized children so that they can attain quality education and become responsible citizens of Uganda. The director (Muyingo Andrew) having struggled in life as an orphan while growing up, he was inspired to start Samaritans For Children in 2014 to help the most vulnerable children in Mityana and elsewhere. We started with taking care of 12 children and the organisation is currently taking care of 73 children in schools like New Junior School Mityana. The organisation helps the orphans and vulnerable children with basic education, spiritual support, social and economic welfare plus medication though it calls for more funding due the high vulnerability of children in Mityana District." from the website

Recently I have had the pleasure of making a new friend, a Brother in Christ Ssimbwa Robert Robinson in Uganda. Ssimbwa Robert Robinson is a born again Christian who is Treasurer/Director at Samaritans for Children. He holds a degree from Kampala International University. Please visit the website and consider donating. Here is a link:

About 85 percent of the people in Uganda are Christian and 11 percent Muslim, with some eastern areas having large Muslim populations.

Many have died for their faith - On Dec. 23, 2015, a pastor in eastern Uganda was hacked to death as he and other church members resisted an effort by Muslims to take over their land in Nansololo village near Mazuba, in Namutumba District, area church leaders said. Pastor Bongo Martin is survived by a widow and two children. There is ongoing daily persecution.

Any opportunity we have to help Christians around the world we should take.

Someday it could be us in America that needs the help in a time of persecution.

God Bless Ssimbwa, all the staff and the Children!!
