"Hungary is a country that can boast quite a few illustrators of significant interest, and yet the world at large seems pretty much ignorant of any of them. Janos Kass is a case in point. His work is inventive, frequently unexpected and never less than visually absorbing.
In making this video I discovered that until fairly recently Hungary had a back to front naming convention so don’t be surprised by the mismatch between names appearing on screen and my wild attempts to pronounce them. And I apologise in advance for the extended periods during his career for which I could find little or no evidence" from the video introduction
