"It’s taken me years to learn this simple, unshakable truth:

The end of me is the beginning of God.

In John 12, Jesus said that unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone—but if it dies, it produces much grain. He wasn’t just speaking of His own death, but of ours too—not physical death, but the surrender of our dreams, ambitions, and self-preservation.

Holding tightly to what we think life should be can cause us to miss the life God wants to give us. Stephen in Acts 7–8 is a perfect example. A young man serving tables, seeing miracles, dying to personal ambition—then, with a short but powerful ministry, giving his life for the testimony of Christ. His death pricked the conscience of Saul, who later became the Apostle Paul and gave us much of the New Testament.

Sometimes what looks like loss to us is actually the seed of something greater—something eternal.

So I’ll ask you what I’m asking myself today:

What do you need to let go of so that God can give you what you truly need?

It might be comfort. It might be control. It might be your own vision for your life. But if you’ll put it into the ground and let it die, God can bring forth something bigger, better, and more fruitful than you ever imagined." from the video introduction
