"The good news is that I managed to find enough decent resolution images by René Bull to enable me to make this video. The bad news is that I found astonishingly little in terms of biographical information. And maybe even more unfortunately there are numerous books listed as being illustrated by him, including an edition of Hans Christian Andersen's Tales and an Aesop's Fables, which have yielded no visual evidence. So what I do show is actually not as representative of his output as I would like. But moving back to 'glass half full' mode what there is on show is - in my view at least - magnificent." from the video introduction
