We eat to live, but sometimes, we eat to live because food is part of our family and our culture.

In this excellent video from CBS Sunday Morning, we are treated to the story of the restaurant Enoteca Maria.

All of us have fond memories of the smell of our mother's food, which we remember as comfort food that took us back in time.

In 2007, Joe Scaravella, who'd recently lost his parents and grandmother, opened an unlikely restaurant on New York's Staten Island: Enoteca Maria, where dishes were prepared by Italian grandmothers cooking treasured regional dishes. The restaurant has since expanded to feature "Nonnas" from around the world, preparing Greek, Japanese, Spanish and Egyptian dishes as well, and has inspired a new Netflix film, "Nonnas" starring Vince Vaughn. I can confirm: Nobody cooks like a grandma.

t's 7:30 pm on a balmy Friday evening, and I'm in a restaurant on Staten Island in the arms of someone else's grandma.

Grandma Maria is telling my group which items to order, and it is, in fact, everything on the menu. Then she mentions how she attended a premiere with Vince Vaughn earlier that week, and my movie-obsessed ears perk right up. I realize then that I'm at the Nonna's (a.k.a.
