Fornication is a common sin in our fallen world even among Christians.
This video does an excellent job explaining how when we fornicate we not only sin against our Holy God we damage our bodies and souls.
1 Corinthians 6: 18 18 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
Paul is telling us the taking of a person sinfully into union with your body that is utterly forbidden by God is a damaging sin. Sexual sins go into the body in a way that other sins do not. There is spiritual damage brought about by the violation of the woman and in the violation of your own body. It however doesn’t lessen the man’s sinfulness that she may be willing in this sin and that she may be initiating it. God holds men uniquely responsible for protecting her from this spiritual and sexual violation, and he is guilty of a violation even if she would never admit to it.
So men don’t seek minimal sins, to see what you can get away with. Seek maximum holiness and purity in your thoughts and deeds. Don’t try to get by with, “Which sin is worse?” Seek Holiness and Godliness! Listen to 1 Timothy 6:11: 11 But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.
