This Matters More than We Are Willing to Admit

“Creed is to intellect what culture is to the heart.”

Why should Christians care when Hollywood changes a beloved story like The Chronicles of Narnia?

The answer goes far beyond casting. Culture isn't merely entertainment layered on top of our beliefs. Culture is how beliefs become embodied in stories, songs, customs, rituals, art, and shared ways of life. Creed speaks to the intellect; culture forms the heart.

In this video, I explain why conservatives repeatedly lose cultural battles by treating culture as secondary, why genuine culture binds generations together, and why stories like Narnia matter to Christians precisely because they teach us not merely to understand Christianity, but to love what Christianity teaches.

If culture helps transmit belief from one generation to the next, surrendering our stories isn't an insignificant concession. It's surrendering one of the primary means by which a civilization remembers what it believes.
