10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10
My mother died in March of 2019 and is now with Jesus, she was 92 years of age.
Many times in the years previous she had said I cant' believe I am still alive! She knew she was very old and she felt it all over and in her soul, yet as long as I could remember she had always said she was in this life to raise us children. There were four of us.
My mother understood why she was here in this life on this earth.
But do we, all of us, you and I understand what WE are living for? Each of us have good works that God has reserved for us which allow us to contribute to the advancement of his Great Work, His Kingdom. God's plan has unfolded from creation and we all get to contribute our part to his global kingdom.
We each must rise to the challenge (with the help of The Holy Spirit) of living like Christ him daily, with endurance for all to see.
"21 For to me mto live is Christ, and to die is gain.' Philippians 1:21
Today there remain many silent warriors, advanced in age, who know what they are living for.
They are living day to day for Christ praying and reading their Bibles. But how many of us make the time or even consider the value and need of reflecting on what we are doing everyday to advance the Kingdom of God?
Perhaps you still live by God's grace that someday you will help bring the next generation to Christ!
