Why I Paint While I Read My Bible
"You've probably read a whole chapter of your Bible and finished feeling like.. nothing really landed.
That's happened to me too. And it has nothing to do with how much you love God or how hard you're trying.
A while back I started adding something to my Bible time. Just paint. My fingers. One verse. That's it. And the words started sticking in a way they never had before.
When you're reading with just your eyeballs, you're activating about four parts of your brain. When you bring in touch, color, and your senses, that number jumps to 21. Scripture stops being something you read and starts becoming something you carry with you. It becomes conversation with God. It becomes prayer.
You don't have to be an artist. Truly this is just 'plopping' color on pages. This is for women who want to dwell in the Word and not have to perform anything...not even pretty art." from the video introduction
