Winter Wandering. Cold, Crisp Air. Necessity Brings Joy. - Sandy Osborn
"I was ready to cuddle up, call it a day. It was cold and spitting snow. The last place I wanted to be was outside.
It had been a busy day, a Christmas visit with my husband's family all afternoon. A very energetic puppy who needed fresh air and a bit of a walk to stretch his legs. With my feet hurting, I forced myself out the door. Down the street, past a beautiful old church. Around the corner, under the white Christmas lights. I took a deep breath, spoke to my puppy, and took in the moment. Clear glowing lights, the sound of the passing cars.
The Muriel on the planter, soft grey and green, was brushed in muted tones. The window above the town Inn. The owner's home. A warm light, a soft curtain, a glimpse of family photos on the wall peaking out from behind the curtain. Turning the corner back toward the neighborhood, Christmas lights shine bright and beckon us the rest of the way home. Sometimes life's little necessities bring the most joy!"
