Colors Restored to Egyptian Temple!
"At Esna we step into the Temple of Khnum, a Ptolemaic-Roman jewel, where restoration has revealed dazzling painted ceilings, dense astronomical and ritual texts, and a forest of columns alive with color. Then we continue to El-Tod (Djerty), Montu’s provincial shrine, to walk the Ptolemaic sandstone pronaos, trace the avenue of sphinxes and barque shrine of Thutmose III, and revisit the 1936 discovery of the Tod Treasure. It’s an intimate look at how a “small” temple can connect Egypt to the wider Bronze Age world." from the video introduction
