Dietrich Bonhoeffer Sermon: 17 September - The Venerable Tricia Hillas

"The Venerable Tricia Hillas discusses the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German pastor, who was strongly opposed to the Nazi dictatorship. He was executed only a few days before the end of the war.

A statue of Dietrich Bonhoeffer can be found above Westminster Abbey's Great West Door. This statue is one of the Abbey's ten modern martyrs of the 20th-century. The modern martyrs represent Christians who gave up their lives for their beliefs.

This sermon is part of the Noble Army of Martyrs series, which marks the 25th anniversary of statues' installation. The sermons will focus on the lives of those depicted, their ongoing resonance, and legacy for the Church." from video introduction
