God's Gift of Humor: Green Acres TV Show

The best indication that God has a sense of humor is that He created us in His image (Genesis 1:27). People obviously are able to perceive and express humor. A “sense of humor” as defined by the dictionary as “...The ability to perceive, enjoy, or express what is comical or funny.” This of course is a human definition of humor so the problem is what people perceive as funny is very different from what would amuse a holy and perfect God. Much of what the world calls humor is not funny but is instead crass and crude and should have no part in a Christian’s thought life (Colossians 3:8). Our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus was fully human and is now a perfected Human at the Right Hand of the Father. He wept and showed anger and in his humanity and no doubt laughed with joy! - Andy
