Historical Theology II: Dr. Nathan Busenitz (10 of 27)

Historical theology is the discipline that studies the interpretation of Scripture and the theological formulation of the church in the past.

How has the church in the past interpreted the Bible, formulated and expressed its theology?

Historical theology can be thought of as wisdom from the past. It is wisdom about what constitutes the valid interpretation of the Bible and what constitutes sound theology.
