What It Means to Love God with (All Your Heart, Soul and Strength)
"Let's talk about love, Old Testament style! In this video, we'll explore the various ways the Hebrew authors used the word "love," and how they depicted God as the ultimate source and goal of all human love." from the video introduction.
Love is a word and concept that is overused and diluted in our time. You can love ice cream and love your spouse, but they are not the same thing.
The reality is love isn’t something you can measure or observe directly. The love God has for all of us is beyond our ability to cognitively understand yet we can apprehend how much he loves us. Paul once described the love of Christ as surpassing all knowledge (Ephesians 3:19). The psalmist famously wrote, “Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds” (Psalm 36:5).
Listen to what this excellent video from Bible Project has to say about love.
