There are people in our world who vehemently believe it is FLAT and not a globe!

People have held erroneous beliefs in the face of objective and empirical proof since the Fall. We are no different today in fact it seems many are more inclined to believe conspiracies and absolute absurdities than ever before.
Looking closely at the Human Race since the beginning it does not take a PHD to see that aside from God we are hopeless, helpless and death bound. Nothing we have thought of or created has removed the sting and reality of death or the "restlessness' of life, no matter how wealthy and fortunate we may be.
Like a moth to a flame we are attracted to what suits our 'Sin Nature" no matter the cost. Across history intellectuals and dictators have promised salvation, happiness and joy through Communism, Marxism, Nationalism, all the isms...
Lately Scientism has taken a major role but along with Atheism and Evolution is running out of steam.

Mocking God means disrespecting, dishonoring, denying or ignoring His existence. King David described it as wicked because there is "no fear of God before their eyes" (Psalm 36:1). Therefore God is not mocked for long and eventually He will bring forth consequences for such behavior.
Seeking saving grace and joy from men and their enterprises and evil schemes not only leads to the death of our soul but restlessness. Americans and the modern West see the world in immanent, physical/material terms, which makes it impossible for many to believe in the soul. It then follows people are incapable of discussing or seeking meaning, spirituality, and transcendence.
Without a life centered on Christ our lives become an unending parade of fun, distractions and foolish ventures.
Saint Augustine made this observation: "Because God has made us for Himself, our hearts are restless until they rest in Him."
Let us not be distracted by the world, men and sin, let us put Christ at the center and honor and praise God in all we do!
