Martyn Iles points out that a child who makes a decision to alter their gender cannot have children later in life if they change their mind. Yes, a 12-year-old is not mature enough to make these decisions. Declaring a child can make these decisions does not make it wise or ok.
We have seen this before as humans attempt to subvert & twist what God has given us. This is godlessness, moral relativism and when we get right down to it evil demonstrated in history both Biblical and otherwise.. Utopia failed, as did Communism and Marxism, and many other "isms". We can't BE God by crafting our bodies into to something else. Plastic surgery has gone amok. Hormone therapy was misused.
We have made many attempts to bypass God and every attempt fails. As individuals, we will answer to God for what we think and do.
The "self" could not prevail in Eden and cannot prevail today.
That goes for the individuals who have chosen to fight the liberal mindset with the Conservative mindset. These are human expressions of our pride and arrogance and they do not gain favor with God.
Our hubris will end in divine discipline and ruin. This is a matter of Biblical understanding and obedience.
