We live in a culture addicted to identity labels and we try to summarize everything essential about an individual in a word or phrase. So with every label and category, there comes another level of segregated identity. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the realm of sexual identity.
Your experiences in life do not determine who you are but rather your identity in Christ which enables us to be continually transformed in his image. To assume any other identity is to look at ourselves in a broken mirror. Only when we see ourselves in the reflection of Christ’s image will we find our true identity?
