Redeeming Our Time in Our Fallen World - Elder Andy McIlvain - Isaiah 46:9-10

“I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, “My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose.” (Isaiah 46:9–10)”


"I don’t think I need to point out to most of you how far our American Culture has moved away from any Christian underpinnings we might have had as a result of our nations inception.

We find ourselves in a time and society that mocks God and celebrates sin. Yet this is the ongoing story of fallen man.

Like many empires before us, Rome, the Soviet Union to name a few we are collapsing. As a Russian TV journalist said recently, “We are witnessing America’s death.” Through our limited human perceptions this may seem true. All nations, all institutions of this world will burn and wither. America is a pagan nation ruled by and large by pagans, people who need Christ.

We know we are in this world and not of it which in our trend toward sin becomes problematic. That is why only through The Person of the Holy Spirit and Christ can we persevere.

You and I and the intellectuals may predict the collapse of America, but we are ultimately under God’s sovereign rule. Nevertheless, we are responsible for ourselves, and our stewardship of what God has placed before us...."
